As a cinema lover, we love to watch movies from different genres as long as they entertain us and keep us hooked. Whenever two 'good' movies clash at the ticket windows, it turns out to be a double bonanza for us as we get to watch two awesome films in the cinema halls. Talking about good films, we take you back to October 1994, which can be easily termed as the golden month in the history of western cinema and to justify our point, here's our explanation. 1994 was the year when we saw the perfect of genres in Hollywood, where genres like biopic, fantasy fiction, animation, neo-noir, everything was explored. From June to October 94, we saw the release of iconic films like Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, The Shawshank Redemption, The Lion King and Pulp Fiction. All these movies were present in the theatres in the month of October 1994 at the same time. Well, if you know about the above films, you will surely agree with us and call it as the 'Golden month' of western cinema. And for the uninitiated, let us give a gist about the films. Tom Hanks-starrer Forrest Gump was the top-grossing film in North-America that year and had even won 6 Oscars including Best Film, Best Actor and Best Director. Popular filmmaker Steven Speilberg gave us one of the most loved franchises of Hollywood with Jurassic Park and the first installment was released in that year. And next up was Simba (not the Ranveer Singh film), the character from The Lion King needs no introduction. Talking about The Shawshank Redemption, we will just say that with over 20 lakh votes and getting 9.3 out of 10, the film still holds the top spot in the list of IMDb's best films. Last but definitely not the least, we have a wacky and kickass film titled Pulp Fiction from the kickass and stylish filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, which became a cult classic of recent times.
