If the stimulus in question concerns nutrients, or other chemicals, then the process is called chemotaxis. However, there are some photosynthetic bacteria. Photosynthetic bacteria are not completely responsive to chemicals. Mainly, photosynthetic bacteria move toward light. This is called phototaxis.
